Mr. Masaaki Taira, Chair of the LDP project on Web3 and AI, gave his opening remarks.
Yesterday, he released a white paper on Web3 and AI, which is expected to serve as the foundation for the Japanese government. The Kishida administration has positioned Web3 as part of the nation's growth strategy and is working to resolve issues such as the taxation of the market value of tokens issued by the company.
It is also addressing the legal challenges of blockchain-driven DAOs and applying for legislation to include crypto assets in investment portfolios.
With regard to AI, the government is also taking a flexible approach to the EU's strict regulations, advancing regulations on cutting-edge technologies while not stifling innovation. The EU has also taken a flexible approach to the EU's strict regulations on AI.

Tomohiko Kondo has been involved in crypto assets at SBI since and is working with U.S. Circle to discuss handling USDC. Genki Oda is also in charge of the general association of Japan Crypto Assets, and Alex has been involved in the web3 industry for many years, discussing the impact of stablecoin and future payments. Kondo touched on the spread of stablecoin overseas and SBI's efforts, while Oda discussed the use of stablecoin in Japan. Alex then discussed the importance of policies and regulations and offered specific suggestions for the development of the Web3 industry.
