Born in Tokyo, Japan. Graduated from Keio University, Faculty of Science and Technology, Department of Physics. After working as a software engineer at Lotus and Microsoft, he joined Ariel Networks, Inc. in 2001, where he was engaged in P2P application development. 2005, he joined Skype Technologies S.A., where he established Skype Japan K.K. and became its president. In 2012, he joined ATOMICO, one of the largest independent VC firms in Europe. In 2017, he completed the Kauffman Fellows Program and became a Kauffman Fellow. 2018, he launched MIRAISE, which specializes in investing in programmer entrepreneurs. Leveraging his experience as an entrepreneur with an engineering background and his global network, he conducts investment activities and nurtures engineering entrepreneurs.
